Azure AVD cloud engineer placed with a US-based MSP

A US managed service provider had grown AVD from a side project to a primary offering and needed a dedicated specialist. We placed an engineer who now owns the full AVD book end-to-end.

Engineer embedded into the MSP's PSA and RMM stack from day one

Context

The client is a US-based managed service provider with a mixed-tenant SMB book. Azure Virtual Desktop had grown organically from a side offering into a primary line of service, and the support load had grown with it.

Challenge

The MSP's cloud team was generalist — capable across Azure broadly, but not deep on AVD-specific operations. Issues like FSLogix profile corruption, image lifecycle hygiene, license sizing for variable-use tenants, and conditional access integration kept escalating from L1 into senior engineers' time.

They needed someone whose default response to an AVD ticket was a fix, not a question.

Approach

We sourced from our existing vetted engineer pool — candidates pre-screened for AVD production experience and supporting Microsoft cloud security tooling.

The engineer onboarded directly into the MSP's existing PSA and RMM stack from day one. Tickets and tenant access flowed through the client's normal tooling, not a separate parallel queue.

Outcome

The engineer has been with the MSP since August 2025 and now owns the full AVD book end-to-end — image governance, tenant deployments, escalations, and the security overlay that wraps it.

The senior team that was previously being interrupted has its time back, and AVD work no longer routes by default to engineers who have other priorities.

    Government-issued photo identity and right-to-work documentation reviewed and recorded before any client-facing interview.

    National criminal record check (Indian police verification or jurisdictional equivalent) plus public-record review for adverse findings.

    Education & credential verification

    Degrees and any cited professional certifications verified directly with the issuing institutions or certification authorities.
